Take care to choose a tree that is not going to outgrow the situation. Also consider the wind when selecting your shade tree as some trees are more susceptible to damage from the wind.

For Shelter we grow some lovely large grade Eugenias and Pittosporums. Also Ake Ake, Pohutakawas, Griselinias and Pseudopanax are ideal for shelter.
